Adults

Learn and practise French in a friendly and convivial atmosphere at the Alliance Française Palmerston North. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced speaker, we have the appropriate class to match your level and your goals.

Our regular on-site French classes run for 1.5 hours each week for an average period of 10 weeks (following New Zealand school terms).

The courses are taught in small groups with 12 students maximum.

2025 Adults Holiday Programme September-October

Intensive Adult Programme

Learn French faster in 16 hours  from 10am to 12pm or from 6pm to 8pm.
From 22 September to 25 September and from 29 September to 2 October.

Learn how to present yourself, numbers, countries, names of shops and buildings in a town and locate things and places.

Once this programme completed, you will be able to jump in one of our beginners classes in term 4 2025.

French for Travellers


Join this workshop if you intend to travel to any French-speaking countries.

An intensive class on 5 days from  22 to 26 September from 10am to 1pm or from 5.30pm to 8.30pm including an AF membership, a student book and a croissant with drinks.

The programme is based on useful speaking tips and dialogs when abroad. It is suitable for people with no knowledge of French.
