DELF/DALF diplomas

DELF/DALF diplomas are French language proficiency certifications administered by the French Ministry of Education and recognised in 165 countries. They are valid for life!

DELF/DALF examinations test your ability to use French in real life situations with four language skills assessed at each level: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

DELF and DALF diplomas are a plus in your professional or school portfolio. They recognise your accomplishments in French proficiency and support career advancement. If you or your children are interested in studying overseas, DELF B2 and DALF diplomas give access to all French universities and to an ever growing number of European and francophone universities, eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests.

There are different types of DELF and DALF diplomas corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). There are six levels for adults, three levels for children (7 to 12 year old) and four levels for teenagers (12 to 18 years old).

The Alliance Française Palmerston North is able to offer DELF Tout Public (adults), DELF Junior (teenagers),  DELF Prim (7 to 12 years of age),  DELF Pro (business-related qualification) and DALF (adults).
