🎭The New Caledonian theatre group named Les Incompressibles, will be performing in New Zealand in October with a playful reinterpretation of Molière’s classic Le Malade Imaginaire.
Lucie Dorio and Sam Kagy, two actresses from New Caledonia are performing the timeless comedy with their own vibrant energy, surprises, and a generous dose of improvisation.
Synopsis: Two actresses, running late, arrive to perform Le Malade Imaginaire. In their haste, one of them forgets the costumes and props. Not wanting to cancel the performance, they rise to the challenge of performing without costumes and proper props, using all means at their disposal to make it work.

💬They saw it. They loved it. Now it’s your turn!
Lycée Dokamo (in New Caledonia), 11th grade: Sam Kagy and Lucie Dorio gave an abridged and updated performance (with rap and Google
references) of Molière’s play for the 11th-grade class at the lycée. Adaptation, but not betrayal, as it included everything: the
misunderstanding between Argan and Angélique, the notary scene (via video), Argan’s double pseudo-death, Béralde’s advice. The show was
lively: it moved in and out, fell, turned around the classroom, much to the delight of our students. The laughter was present; we were
indeed in a high-spirited comedy with appreciated farcical moments. While French classes enrich students' vocabulary, theatre brings it to
life.
