Meet our special guests, Nadia Talbi Demene and Ernest Demene from New Caledonia, and talk with them in French about their book L’Héritage du Post-Natal, la Renaissance des Pratiques Ancestrales.Explore traditional practices shared between Algeria and the island of Ouvéa in New Caledonia. It opens reflection on birth and the postnatal period through ancestral knowledge and modern insights. At the heart of it all lies heritage, a powerful, evolving force that connects generations and invites us to question the way we care, connect, and evolve.

→Photography exhibition

A selection of photographs from the serie "Les réalisateurs du Caillou" by Clotilde Richalet Szuch will be displayed at the Globe Theatre during the New Caledonia Season. Clothilde took portraits of New Caledonian movie directors and photographed them in different locations, chosen by each of them for their symbolism. Come and discover the director's universe!

Come and try the New Caledonian inspired video game "Tchia"! A self-service game station will be set up at your Alliance Française Palmerston North for you to try for free. Follow Tchia on an adventure of self-discovery, in a very visual open-world, inspired by the tropical paradise of New Caledonia.
